Album review: Moloko — Do You Like My Tight Sweater? (1995, Echo)

Moloko is a British music band from Sheffield, was formed in 1994.
It consisted of composer and instrumentalist Mark Brydon and vocalist Roshin Murphy.

«Do you like my tight sweater? Look how it sits on me «- with this phrase Roshin Murphy went to Mark Brydon at the party.
That’s how the amazing duo appeared, named after the drink “Moloko Plus”, invented by Anthony Burgess in the novel «Clockwork Orange». They are probably the first who could make trip-hop ironic, without losing style, atmosphere and sexuality.
The first album went into commerce, thanks to the soundtrack to the movie «Batman and Robin», but it
didn’t lose his trip-hop affiliation.
